Do You Know How Much Roundup You’re Eating?

Roundup is one of the most widely used agricultural chemicals today – and also one of the most toxic. You’ll be shocked to find out how much Roundup you’re actually consuming – and the health problems it can lead to!
Did you know that we’ve used so much Roundup on our crops as a nation, that even our rainwater is now polluted with it?
Roundup now shows up at extreme levels in dozens of food ingredients, and this should be concerning, considering how toxic this chemical really is. In fact, the World Health Organization just announced that the active ingredient in Roundup causes cancer in humans.
Check out this brief interview with integrative-medicine expert and licensed acupuncturist Isaac Eliaz, MD for more on the dangers of Roundup, plus some tips on protecting yourself from the effects of exposure:
Completely avoiding pesticides is impossible today, unfortunately. However, why is it especially important to avoid the common chemical glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup?
Isaac Eliaz, MD: Glyphosate has been shown to be a hormone disruptor, with the potential for a wide range of detrimental impacts on both human and animal populations, including reproductive damage and cancer formation. Unfortunately, it is used extensively by the agricultural industry and also by homeowners on lawns and gardens…. Studies are mounting that indicate that this pesticide is a serious health risk.
Could you list and give short descriptions of natural ways a person could detox from dietary sources of Roundup?
IE: …There are a number of vitamins, minerals, and other natural compounds that provide essential cofactors for the proper functioning of these mechanisms and pathways. Dietary choices that help with detoxification include organic fruits, vegetables, seaweeds, and sprouted whole grains, which are high in enzymes, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and protective antioxidants.
…………………………………………What else should we know?
IE: An important point to consider is that there are thousands of chemicals now found in our environment and in our bodies…. Glyphosate stands out as one of the significant threats, since disruption of our delicate hormone balance has the strongest effects on some of our most vulnerable populations—the developing fetus, infants, and growing children, as well as men and women of reproductive age…. This is a multigenerational problem that could affect, in the long term, the reproductive health of our species.
