Homemade Moisturizing Hand Cream Recipe

  1. Melt the shea butter, beeswax, and sweet almond oil together in a double boiler. (Or you can also place it in a glass measuring cup in a pot of simmering water).
  2. Stir the mixture as it melts.
  3. Once everything is melted, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the essential oils, and pour the liquid hand cream into a small glass container. Allow it to cool completely (this usually takes several hours).
  5. Apply this homemade hand cream recipe to your dry hands as often as needed–especially after a long day working outside or playing in the dirt. (Applying at night before bed is especially effective to allow the lotion to soak in and soften the skin overnight.)
  6. You may wish to store this in the refrigerator in hot weather if it gets too soft.
